Are you sitting down? Because this news might be crazy for you. I love pictures. I know, right???? When did that happen? I love pictures in frames, pictures taped to the wall, pictures on my phone and on my computer, pictures that have been put on a DVD and set to music, pictures of people I don’t even know. I have pictures in shoe boxes that one day – one day! – I swear I’m going to file. I have collage frames that still need to be filled, but finding the time!
And then I discovered it: photo wallpaper. Movable/removable photo wallpaper that you create from your own pictures and mold into a piece of art for your home. WeMontage. This is one of the coolest decorating discoveries I’ve made in a while, and now through March 12th, I can offer you a super discount to get one of your own!
Use the special code “deranged” from now through March 12th on any WeMontage order and receive 20% off your order!
WeMontage likes to say, “Live Beyond the Frame.” What a great idea! Don’t shackle yourself to the pre-set sizes that traditional frames require (4×6, 5×7, 8×10); make collages that showcase the photos – and memories – that you love and size it for your special requirements.
Have a student in college and don’t want to bother moving all those bulky frames? Get yourself a WeMontage. Do you have older friends or family who reside in senior living centers and want to surround them with pictures to keep them warm? WeMontage is the answer. Have you taken a special vacation or “bucket list” trip and need a way to showcase your photos? WeMontage. Want to put together a “brag book” of your child’s sports photos? You guessed it: WeMontage.
Although I crafted our WeMontage out of recent family adventures, I realized that it would have been fantastic to do for my “First Year” frames for our girls. Like many parents, I took pictures of the girl each month during the first year of their lives, then had them framed, which required three different collage frames each time. With WeMontage, I could have created it in one piece, and given myself the luxury of being able to move it easily around their room as decor changes.
Right now, I’m thinking of making one for my dad. There are so many pictures of our family that are contained in dozens of old family photo albums. The pictures are starting to yellow, with some stuck to the old plastic of the albums. Before we risk losing the pictures, I’d love to have them transferred into a WeMontage. Then we can see them all the time, instead of just once a year like we do now. I may have gotten the idea from this heartfelt video:
Creating your WeMontage is so easy. When you visit, you simply choose what size you want, from the smallest 2’x3′, up to a custom size of your design. You then begin uploading the photos you want to use. For me, this was revelatory. Normally when I upload pictures to photo sites, it goes slowly. I was really impressed how quickly our pictures were uploaded to WeMontage.
You can add more pictures if you want or delete ones if you change your mind. You don’t have to fool around with cropping or sizing, or even the photo placement. The WeMontage program will shuffle your pictures around in the design, AND you can physically move them around yourself. I got slightly addicted to the shuffling part, as Thomas finally told me to just pick one, already!
Once you pick the arrangement you like best, you can specify if you have a textured wall, and you can also pick the size of the margin that you want between your pictures. You can even add a splash of color for the margins. It really is one of the most personalized photo projects I’ve been involved with.
WeMontage’s creator James Oliver prides himself on the WeMontage Moments, the emotional connection of seeing your memories displayed vividly on your walls, or gifting them to those who need the inspiration of seeing friends and family every day.
