If you spend any time around the Christmas holidays in a store, on Pinterest or Facebook, or at the home of a friend with young children, you’ve probably witnessed some of the elvish hoopla going on all around. But if you ask me, elves are supposed to be keeping track of whether kids are naughty or nice. Elves are for fun, and sometimes even a little rambunctious!
Today I’m delighted to get to tell you about Elf Magic, the site that helps Santa create and find homes for his “Magic” Elves that spend spend Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve with children and families, bringing a genuine warmth and closeness within the home and creating memories that last a lifetime.
As part of the timeless Christmas-Elf tradition, Elf Magic Elves appear “magically” from the North Pole each holiday season ready to be touched and loved – and to turn their playful thoughts into mischievous late-night adventures. Elf Magic is a great way to reinforce the true meaning of Christmas and family values.
We were fortunate enough to have two elves come to stay with us: a brown haired girl and a blonde haired girl. They arrived in cozy little elf-sized red velvet Santa Sack, which I think just might be perfect for some little gifts to be left in during the night. And they each came with their own Snowcase, so if we happen to take any trips while they’re here, they can easily tag along.
In case you couldn’t guess, the girls loved these. They are so colorful and vibrant, your eyes can’t help but look at them. Plus they are so very different from any other doll or plush we have in the house, they instantly became two of the most popular residents of Home on Deranged.
The Snowcase was almost as popular, since it has little foldouts to make a table, with a drawer for stowing things, and tiny little hangers for any additional outfits. If your kids are like mine, they love to stash things. Everywhere. I don’t know if it makes them feel like they ahve a great secret or what, but we find toys and money and rocks stashed all over the house in nooks and crannies.
But the big winner – bar none – was the North Pole Snowflakes that come with each elf. The snowflakes are supposed to be sprinkled on teh elf at night by the child to bring him/her to life. Then magically while everyone is asleep, the Elf goes on all types of adventurous Elfcapades from cookie baking to gift wrapping and hiding in freezers (they love the cold!)
But you can already guess what happened: Yup, our girls went on a snow day frenzy, spreading the little flakes through several rooms of hte house. They were ecstatic! They were giggling the whole time, including when they got it in each other’s hair and on their clothes. It was worth it all to have these elves move in with us!
